Curtney Anselm, the Man-of-the-Match in the just concluded Premier Cricket Finals between Go Sports Tremors and Grand Bay Credit Union Colts says he felt the need to step up after failing to contribute with the bat in the first innings.
Anselm picked up seven wickets in the second innings and one wicket in the first innings, a total of eight wickets overall.
“Well I mean the wicket wasn’t playing too bad, the wicket was playing well,” Anselm said.
“My captain called on me that I need to step up and then once I get the opportunity with the ball, I decided to give it a go with off-spin, seeing that I bowled pace at the first inning, so I just decided that I have to step up.
“Although I didn’t get runs with the bat, I just gave it a go and I mean I was hitting the right areas and was just looking to take wickets,” MOTM, Curtney Anselm.
