Two new coronavirus cases have been confirmed after more than a month without and after having been without a confirmed active case since may 17th.

The two individuals, asymptomatic and without any known underlying medical conditions have been in mandatory isolation since they disembarked a repatriation cruise vessel last week.

The details were revealed by the Hon Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit on Monday evening.

This brings Dominica’s number of Covid-19 cases to 18– sixteen inactive by virtue of recovery, and two active.

Principal Nursing Officer, Nurse Terillia Ravaliere said Friday that four government facilities are being used to quarantine 69 individuals.

She advised those in quarantine to cooperate and have reasonable requests.

She also strongly advised against leaving with facility items.
