The UWI Seismic Research Centre reports that a 3.9 magnitude earthquake took place between Dominica and Guadeloupe a short while ago at 11:10am.
The centre’s seismological computational system detected the movement at a depth of 10 km and automatically posted to its social media page.
The fault was located 53 km sse of Point-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe and 54 km north of Roseau, Dominica.
The research centre says this event has not been reviewed by an analyst. It was automatically located therefore it is a preliminary result.
