The observer mission from the Organisation of American States to Dominica says that its purpose is to observe elections.
Leader of the mission, former Prime Minister of the Bahamas, Hubert Ingraham, said the mission will make a report of its findings on Saturday afternoon.
Hubert Ingraham said, “We are doing what the OAS normally does. Observe elections in it’s member states if invited by the government to do so. We’ve been invited by the Government of Dominica to do so. We are here with a delegation of 20 persons and are visiting all of the constituencies. I myself have been to three so far, and will go to another two. We will make a preliminary report tomorrow.
Ingraham went on to say, “Our people are also at the electoral commission. We’ve got some experts in various fields who are also making assessments, and tomorrow afternoon we will make a preliminary report, which will be public and subsequently we will have a detailed report which will also be public.”
Ingraham assured Dominicans that the report would be done fairly based on his own credibility.
