Commonwealth Observer Group Assures Impartiality and Experience
- December 2, 2019

The Commonwealth has confirmed that it has sent an observer group ahead of Friday’s elections.
Chair of the Commonwealth Observer Group, Zainab Hawa Bangura leads the group.
She is Sierra Leone’s former Minister for Foreign and International Affairs and former Under Secretary-General at the United Nations.
She also assures the nation that the team, which arrived on November 27th and leaves on Dec 13, respects Dominica and its democratic processes.
The Commonwealth Observer Group comprises persons drawn from across the 53 members of the Commonwealth, including the Caribbean, Africa, Asia and Europe.
Bangura says the team brings a wealth of experience from across the social and political spectrum including political representation, electoral administration, rule of law and justice, civil society, media, security as well as women’s and youth matters.

I hope that the observer mission will get to see the video showing Val Cuffy providing evidence of the UWP’s regime change intentions. His reference to the coup in Bolivia and the OAS reveals much!
They would also have witnessed the disgraceful conduct of the handful of desperate UWP supporters in Marigot and elsewhere and the harassment of Bishop Malzaire and Archbishop Felix by Linton’s brother and other UWP supporters
