An All-Star cast of Zouk performers, comprising Princess Lover, Eric Virgal, Oswald and Dominica’s Mel, will feature on Night Two of the 21st edition of Dominica’s World Creole Music Festival, scheduled for October 25 to 27, 2019, at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium in Roseau, Dominica.

 The Zouk All-Stars which will be appearing on the festival stage on Saturday 26th October, alongside the Cadence-lypso All-Stars, Reggae and Dancehall legend, Buju Banton, Soca Stars Fay-Ann and Bunji Garlin, Extasy Band and Triple Kay International, will bring their unique individual styles and the dynamic sound of the Zouk music to this year’s WCMF.

The All-Star cast for this year’s festival includes the charismatic and sweet sounding Princess Lover. The Martinique born beauty, this Princess of Love, has come to represent the beautiful and romantic side of Zouk music. She brings to WCMF her many years of success, passionate and distinctive vocals and a number of songs for patrons to feast upon. Her hit songs include the sensual, Zouk Love track, “Mon Soleil”. Also from Martinique, Eric Virgal is songwriter, performer and music producer who has been on the Zouk scene since the late 1980’s. This richly talented singer, whose music has been played throughout the Creole world has a wide repertoire of hit songs, many of them he produced in collaboration with the singer, Orlane. His hits include the big track, “Pa Fe Mwen La Penn”.  Oswald, an artiste based on the island of St. Maarten, brings a fresh and dynamic feel to a new Zouk and Kompas sound. This versatile and talented singer is a lady’s man, who is sure to impress with his wide range of styles and appeal. He combines a mix of rhythms to his Zouk background to create his own unique style. Mel, is a Dominican princess of song, who has been impressing audiences and fans all over, with her versatility and class. Hugely popular in her native Dominica and throughout the French West Indies, the former lead singer of the Ti Orkest band, is coming to the stage of the 2019 WCMF after an impressive debut at this year’s Jazz ‘n Creole Festival in Dominica. Her monster hit, “Touch Me”, the remix with popular Martiniquan musician, Jmax, has garnered more than 16 million views on Youtube, making her easily one of Dominica’s most viewed artiste on the platform.

With such a versatile and dynamic group, WCMF fans can expect Zouk power and an abundance of energetic and very passionate performances by this very talented group of artistes.
