The Princess Margaret Hospital was gifted a thoughtful and practical donation from a small community organisation on Friday, Sept 6th.

Dominica Vibes has learned that the Dublanc Fishing Group contributed 275 pounds of yellow fin tuna to the hospital.

Joanna Ambo of the Dublanc Fishing Group says that initiative is a large part of the group’s objectives.

“The Dublanc Fishing Group has been in existence for a very long time and one of the major objectives of this group is to give back to our community and our country. This is not the first time we have done this, we have been doing for years. We have donated to the Grotto Home for the Homeless and schools. We will continue giving back to our communities,” she explained.

Ambo says this donation was made possible because of industry support from Government.

She specifically named the Hon Parliamentary Representative for the area, Lady Catherine Daniel, who she says made helpful donations to the group as well as the Hon Prime Minister who has “helped us in many ways.”
