China’s Ambassador to Dominica, His Excellency Lu Kun, is satisfied that Dominica’s Honorable Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has seen the needs of the people as priority.
Ambassador Lu says the projects proposed by the Hon Prime Minister over the past 15 years reflect what he considers selflessness.
“During the past 15 years,” he revealed, “all China Aid projects have for the wellbeing and needs of all the people not projects for the Government.”
He listed, “The Windsor Park Stadium, the State College, Newtown Primary School, York Valley Bridge and others are all projects for the benefit of the people.”
According to Ambassador Lu, China Aid is currently executing 500 projects around the world and Dominica’s projects are comparatively more needs-based.
He disclosed, “In some other countries, even African countries, the governments ask China to aid with government buildings for prime ministers, foreign ministers, justice ministers, high court buildings and so on. But in Dominica not a single project for the Government. The well-being, benefit and the needs of the people are the priority of the Prime Minister. He serves the people heart and soul.”
