Geared at providing the public with an opportunity to understand the measures and policies implemented in this year’s National budget, a series of town hall meetings will commence this evening.

According to Prime Minister Hon Roosevelt Skerrit, “The effort is to explain to the public in further details some of the policies, and some of the initiatives, programmes and projects that are contained in the 2019/2020 Budget and also to speak to local issues in the communities where the townhall meeting will be held.”

The first of the post budget meetings will be held in Mahaut at the Mahaut Market at 7:00p.m

PM Skerrit revealed that residents will be informed of the several new projects which will commence within that constituency in the upcoming months; one such project is the building of a new health center.

At tonight’s meeting more details of the new location of the health center as well as the projected date for the commencement of its construction is expected to be communicated.
