Weekend Vehicular accident Claims the lives of Two

A traffic accident about 9:30 pm on Saturday August 10, 2019 has claimed the life of two 30-year-olds from the community of Tarish Pit.

Inspector at the traffic department, Pellam Jno. Baptiste, gave details on the accident which occurred in the intersection of  Edward Oliver Highway and Charles Avenue.

According to Inspector Jno Baptiste, motorcycle registration PE 589 owned  by Kevin James and ridden at the time by Stephan Jean Jacques was traveling Northward on the EO Leblanc Highway when it was struck by a motor vehicle turning into EO Leblanc Highway from Charles Avenue.

He confirmed that  the motor vehicle with registration number PO952 owned and driven by 38 year old Delano McIntyre of Fond Cannie was involved in the collision.

Both Nadine Nicholas, the pillion rider,  and Stephan Jean Jacques sustained injuries and were transported to the Princess Margaret Hospital where they were officially pronounced dead. 

The Inspector noted that investigations are currently ongoing into the fatal accident.
