$2M worth of Drugs Seized by Police at sea

Two men  were arrested at sea for the possession of cannabis and cocaine, with a total value of EC$2,121,521 (two million, one hundred and twenty-one thousand five hundred and twenty one dollars).

According to Public Relations Officer of the Dominica Police Force, Simon Edwards , “On Friday 5th July 2019 the two Dominican nationals were arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking, when the fishing vessel they occupied was intercepted at sea.”

Edwards informed that  343lbs of cannabis and 15kg of cocaine  were discovered on the vessel and taken into police custody along with the suspects.

He went on to confirm that investigations are still ongoing.
