DLP Candidate for the Petite Savanne Constituency, Marva Williams

The Village of Pichelin, which is part of the Petite Savanne community is in an uproar as of Monday 17th June 2019, following word of a possible replacement of their announced Dominica Labour Party (DLP) Candidate for that constituency, Marva Williams.

According to unofficial sources, the Candidate was recently asked to step down for reasons not yet verified.

Williams was to replace Parliamentary Representative for the Petite Savanne Constituency and Minister of Health and Social Services, Honorable Dr. Kenneth Darroux.

Videos circulating on social media show people tearing down red flags, chanting “No Marva, No vote,” indicating that they are not pleased with the possibility of that decision.

Dominica Vibes  made an attempt to reach Williams for comments however, she was absent from office.

We will continue to follow this story and provide an update as soon as more information becomes available.
