As part of her improvement plans for her constituency, Chekira Lockhart-Hypolite has relayed housing plans for the Roseau South Constituency once elected as Parliamentary Representative.
At Lockhart-Hypolite’s official launch rally at the Newtown Savannah on Sunday 2nd June 2019, she explained that the constituency would be divided into several districts in order to facilitate the project.
“I have divided Roseau South into seven zonal districts. Each district will have a construction coordinator and assistant. Together we train assessors and teams of tradesmen. When the needs to Roseau South are being assessed, we shall employ a process that is efficient, fair and transparent,” she announced.
The new candidate also revealed that she would be presenting a comprehensive development plan for the constituency to the Hon Prime Minister and political leader of the DLP following her launching.
Prime Minister Skerrit endorsed Lockhart-Hypolite praising her eagerness to serve people. He explained that she was not approached to be a candidate for Roseau South but offered herself to represent the people of her community.
The DLP is scheduled to launch the new candidate for the Wesley Constituency next.
