The Dominica Police force is still carrying out investigations regarding a fishing vessel which was reported missing on Saturday 20th April 2019 and discovered on Monday 22nd April 2019.
According to a police report, information was obtained on the evening Saturday 20th April, 2019 from the Maritime Rescue Coordinating Centre (MRCC) in Martinique regarding a vessel in distress in the North East of the island.
A Search was conducted that very night by the Dominica Marine Unit with air support provided by the MRCC. However, nothing was seen.
Police said that Davy Rodney, who is believed to have been on the vessel was found at 12:00 p.m Sunday 21st April, 2019 on the shore at Marigot Bay and transported to the Wesley Health Center by the Fire and Ambulance Services where he was medically examined and released.
Meanwhile, on Sunday 21st April, 2019 a report of a missing person was made at the Wesley Police station by a family member who stated that Anthony Robin male juvenile of Woodfordhill, went fishing on a vessel on Saturday 20th, April 2019 and has not returned up to the time the report was made.
The vessel is said to be about 15 feet in length powered by a 85 Horse power Yamaha engine.
The search continued on Sunday 21st and Monday 22nd April, 2019 with negative sighting.
