One male individual has been pronounced dead following the crash of a small aircraft at 8:30 a.m on Thursday 18th April, 2019 in the Northern Forest Reserve.
According to reports from the Police PRO, the aircraft which was travelling to Martinique from Guadeloupe, slammed into the mountain and was extensively damaged.
The site was accessed by air with the use of a Helicopter from the French government.
The male individual was discovered in an unresponsive state and was air lifted to the Douglas Charles Airport where the body was pronounced dead.
The body was then transported to the Lyndhurst Funeral Home pending a post-mortem examination. However, the identification of the deceased is withheld for notification to family and confirmation of ID by family.
