Dominica captured the championship title for what spectators considered a great game at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium on Mar. 23, 2019. Dominica’s performance at the CONCACAF Nations Football League was well received.
The game kicked off with forwards player Julian Wade scoring the first goal in the 24th minute, followed by the second goal being scored by Travist Joseph. Sadly, Joseph was injured during the game.
Wade claimed top scorer title by scoring his second goal. This allowed Dominica to secure the top goal over Bahamas.
With only five minutes left in the game, Briel Thomas scored the fourth goal, placing Dominica further at the top with 4-nil. The entire stadium erupted with applause as the Dominica team was officially victorious.
In an interview with DA Vibes, Wade stated that he felt satisfied with the game. He highlighted the fact that scoring had been a problem however, the team was able to overcome.
“I think it was a good game for us, we solved one of the problems we had which was scoring.”
Nevertheless, goal-keeper, Glenson Prince, stated that the game was fairly difficult. He attributed this to the weather conditions. He is satisfied that the team was able to dominate with four goals.
