Dominica football team to play against the Bahamas

National Senior Men Football Team Head Coach, Rajesh Joseph Latchoo has included Gyelles Mitchel in his 20-man squad. They are set to play against the Bahamas in the final match of the preliminary round in the Concacaf Nation League.

This match is scheduled to take place at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium on Mar. 23, 2019 at 2:30 p.m.

According to the Public Relations Officer of the Dominica Football Association, Gerald George, Mitchel was recently named the Red River Men’s Soccer Post Season Tournament MVP. He plays for the Louisiana State University at Alexandria in the USA where he is currently studying.

The football team includes: Captain Glenson Prince; Dion Laurent; Euclid Bertrand; Erskim Williams; Malcolm Joseph; Ajaya Royer; Sidney Lockhart; Chad Bertrand; Briel Thomas; Kassim Peltier; Anfernee Frederick; Travis Joseph; Javid George; Julian Wade; Jamie Parillon; Randolph Peltier; Donan Jervier; Tafari Elie and Arlington Fritz.

George also indicated that the Dominica Football Association (DFA) has provided an opportunity for three U-20 players to join the camp on Mar. 22, 2019 and participate as part of the squad.

He says this is because Dominica is allowed to have a 23-man squad. The additional players are, Zion Emmanuel, Audel Laville and Cobin Paul.
