Special Olympics Dominica leaves for World Games today.

Head of Dominica Special Olympics, Ainsworth Irish and two Special Olympic Athletesaccepting Cheque of US$20,000 from CEO of Digicel, Nikima Royer-Jno.Baptiste and Marketing Excutive , Tyrella Alexander.

Special Olympics Dominica Team embark on their journey today to part-take in the 2019 World Games. The event  will be held in Abu-Dhabi from Mar. 7, 2019 to Mar. 22, 2019.

Special Olympics Dominica Team consists of five officials the coach Argenette Lucien, Head of Delegation Ainsworth Irish, Assistant head of delegation Tyrella Alexander and dedicated medical personnel Dr. Martin Christmas.

The seven athletes who will participate at the World Games are as follows :

  • Liza Lucien,
  • Ricky Barry,
  • Crispine Dailey,
  • Claudius Shipley,
  • Alexia Wade
  • Melissa Dupigny
  • Edmond Audain

Digicel has sponsored a cheque of US$20,000.00 to S.O in an effort to facilitate their journey expenditure. The cheque was presented by Digicel CEO, Nikima Royer Jno.Baptiste and Marketing executive, Tyrella Alexander.

Special Olympics World Games will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE’S Amed Forces.
