Dominica Cadet Corps at the St.Lucia’s 40th Celebrations

A team of some 100 officers and cadets of the Dominica Cadet Corp (DCC) returned home from a successful visit to St.Lucia’s 40th anniversary of Independence celebrations.

Adjutant Major Fitzroy Leon led the contingent which comprised a 37 strong infantry including officers and the Cadet band which participated in the Independence Day parade on February 22nd.

DCC officials are certainly confident that based on the response from St. Lucia and all who viewed the parade, that the DCC represented Dominica very well.

In an interview with DA Vibes, Head of DCC Public Relations Unit, Nazarine Gordon said that the St. Lucia visit was also a personal experience for the members of the Dominica Cadet Corps.

“It was a very wonderful experience for the cadets to visit St. Lucia and be a part of that activity.”

Miss Gordon also announced that The Dominica Cadet Corp has already been presented a request to visit for St. Lucia’s next independence season.
