Four day regional cricket match to be held at the Windsor Park Stadium this week

The Dominica Cricket association will host the four day regional cricket tournament this week with the Windward Islands Volcanoes against the Leeward Hurricanes.

PRO of the Dominica Cricket Association, Augustine Pascal, invited all to show up in large numbers to support at the Windsor Park Stadium, beginning tomorrow, Thursday 6th February, 2019.

Mr. Pascal described this year’s regional tournament as a fundamental event to Dominica as it is the first big cricket tournament held in Dominica since the passage of Hurricane Maria.

The Windward Islands Volcanoes is led by their captain Kirk Edwards and Vice Captain Roland Cato. The team is also made up by players: Denis Smith; Obed McCoy; Sunil Ambris; Larry Edward; Ray Jordan; Devon Smith; Tarryck Gabriel; Delorn Johnson; Josh Thomas; Kavem Hodge; Tahj Tavernier and; Dominican Star batsman Alick Athanaze.

The Leeward Islands Hurricanes is led by their captain Kieran Powel and is made up by Team players: Montcin Hodge; Keacy Carty; Quinton Boatswain; Rohel Jaison Peters; Terrance Ward; Devon Thomas; Rahkeem Cornwall; Jahmar Hamilton; Nelson Bolan; Kian Pemberton; Damian Jacobs and; Sheno Berrige.

The cricket tournament is set to begin from 10 a.m at the Windsor Park stadium.
