The DFA premier league continues

A series of football games happened over the weekend to commence the second round of the Dominica Football Association (DFA) Premiere League.

The Dominica Football Association Premiere League started in August of 2018 and is now in the second and final round of the league. During the premiere league there were games scheduled for every weekend.

According to the Public Relations Officer of the Dominica Football Association, on Saturday 5th January 2018 there were four games and three on Sunday. The results of thee games are as follows.

The Sagicor South East Team topped the points chart by emerging victorious in a match against the Dr Mc Middleham United at the Stockfarm Complex. As a result of this game the Sagicor South East team as moved from 23 points from 10 matches. At this match, Javid George registered a hat-trick for the South Est team with Devon George scoring 1.

Meanwhile the defending champions the Central  Cooperative Credit Union, Dublanc FC  defeated the Wacky Rollers with scores 5:1 on the Dublanc playing field. Chickell St Mary registered hat-trick and Travis Joseph scoring 1 for the Dublanc team.

There was also action in the Division one league on Saturday,the DAA Bense FC team edged out the LA Enterprise Bombers FC with the score of 3:2 at the Benjamin Park in Portsmouth. Wayne George , Curlan Joseph, Clian Thomas scored for the Bense team where as Davon George and Miguel Mills scored for LA Enterprise Bombers FC.

Further there was a match between the Bath Estate FC and the Harlem United at the Stock Farm Complex on that same day which was a kneel-kneel draw.

On Sunday the Exodus FC team impeded the Petro Caribe Pointe Mitchel team seven match winning streak with a 1 kneel victory at the Dublanc playing field. Ashwin Hill scored for the Exodus FC.

At Benjamin Park Portsmouth, the Prommex HArlem United edged out LA Enterprise Bombers FC with scores 3:2 in a thrilling encounter.

Odell Francis, Delbert Graham and Donahn Je’Vielle scored for Harlem. Jamie Parillon converted both goals for the Bombers.

In a match between the Belfast Estate Mahaut Soca Strikers and the Bath Estate FC, Jaleem Maxim scored a late goal which earned the Mahaut Soca Strikers a one haul draw.

The next games in the league are scheduled to happen this weekend (12th and 13th January).
