Police has confirmed that one man of Wesley has been charged with murder.
In a report to the media Police Public Relations Officer Inspector, Simon Edwards stated that Glentis Baptiste, an 18 year old from Wesley has been charged with murder. He is alleged to have murdered his uncle Palma Phillip Belsougie. Mr. Belsougie was aged 54 years old and also of a resident of Wesley.
According to Inspector Edwards the deceased was struck with a concrete block on 21st December, 2018 by the accused. This incident is also alleged to have taken place in Wesley.
Belsougie was a patient at the Princess Margaret Hospital until he succumbed to his death on Wednesday 2nd January, 2019.
Baptiste will appear in court on Monday 7th January, 2019.
