Forty-three young people graduated from the Youth Development Division’s Multidisciplinary Leadership Course.
The Youth Development Division hosted the Multidisciplinary Leadership Course Graduation Ceremony at the Dominica Public Service Union (DPSU).
Forty-three (43) young people graduated with a certificate of Multidisciplinary Leadership training. Thirty-one (31) of those students also graduated with a certificate of Basic Counselling training.
This Leadership course was a six months course which began in 2017 prior to hurricane Maria however was delayed by the passage of the hurricane and was completed earlier this year.
In an interview with Vibes News Assistant Chief Youth Development Officer Mr. Gregory Riviere said the multidisciplinary leadership course is a part of the comprehensive leadership program.
The Comprehensive Leadership Program consists of School Based Leadership Course, Community Based Leadership Course, Basic Counselling Course, Advanced Counselling Course and Therapeutic Counselling Course.
Mr. Riviere stated that through the Multidisciplinary Leadership training the leadership skills of young people can be significantly improved and enable them to have meaningful contributions to society.
