The Dame Eugenia Charles Boulevard will come alive as business teams compete for the most creatively designed Christmas Tree on the night of Saturday 22nd December, 2018 at 6:30pm.

“This Business Christmas Tree Lighting aims at bringing vibrancy to the City of Roseau on this 40th Anniversary of Independence. It also brings together our business community in a unique way to spread cheer to locals and visitors alike. Despite the great challenges our businesses faced since the passing of hurricane Maria, we are always seeking ways to add value to our Dominican community,” says Lizra Fabien, the Executive Director of DAIC.
All businesses are invited to register in teams of five by Wednesday 19th December at 4:00 PM; however, six businesses will be randomly selected from the pool of registered companies during a Facebook Live Stream at www.facebook.com/DominicaChamberDAIC. Register by providing your business name, Contact Name, Phone Number and Email Address to firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the DAIC/DHTA Office on the top floor of the Prevo Cinemall.
The trees and basic lighting packages will be prepared for participating teams. Businesses should add their unique touch with other decorative items to their tree. All teams should gather at 6:30pm to receive their package and further guidelines. At 7:00pm, the competition will officially begin and promptly at 8:00pm, all decorations will be halted to commence the lighting ceremony and judging process. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of the most creatively decorated trees will be sponsored by Digicel.
As part of this spreading more cheer to attendees at the Business Christmas Tree Lighting, there will be a ‘Selfie Competition’ and the winner will receive a Facial and Pedicure from Body Bliss Spa and a Made with Love Fruit Cake from Bunnys.
Participants for the ‘Selfie Competition’ are to take a creative selfie with one or more of the Christmas Trees at the Business Christmas Tree Lighting and submit to email@example.com by 12:00 Noon of Monday, December 24th, which will be posted on the DAIC’s Facebook Page on December 25th, 2018 from 12:00am.
