General Manager of DOMLEC, Bertillia McKenzie

DOMLEC power restorations are near completion, says the General Manager of DOMLEC.

During a conference held at DOMLEC for the launching of a new customer service charter, DOMLEC General Manager Bertillia McKenzie reported that 99.6% of Dominica now has access to electricity from DOMLEC. Mrs. McKenzie stated however, that although 99.6% of the country has access to electricity powered by DOMLEC, only 78.7% of homes have actually been connected. This is due to the fact that homes still remain damaged following hurricane Maria, and as such, are unfit for re-connection.

Ms McKenzie recounted that there are certain areas that have been proven to be challenging in regards to coverage, however the staff at DOMLEC are working to rectify this matter.

Commercial and Customer Service Department Manager at DOMLEC went on to say that the newly introduced charter will propel DOMLEC to complete the restoration at a higher improved level.
