The Dominica Fencing Association (DMFA), on Saturday December 15, 2018, will host an Epée qualifying tournament at the Loubiere Resource Center at 8 am

This tournament will be geared at the Junior and Cadet fencers with the first poles commencing at 8:45am.  The tournament will continue throughout the day and the finals will be held at 4:00pm.

This tournament will be used in the selection of top fencers to participate in the 2019 Pan American Junior and Cadet Championships in Bogota, Colombia carded for early March.

The DMFA has been making noticeable strides in increasing awareness of the sport on the island and throughout the region.  A very successful two-week summer camp was conducted by local coach and senior fencer Cody Morris, from August 13th to August 24th, 2018.

In October, fourteen fencers participated in a tournament in Petit-Bourg, Guadeloupe in the Epée Discipline in Junior, Cadet and Senior Categories.  The fencers performed very well and were able to forge new relationships with fencers from the region.
