Minister of Public Works Colin McIntyre has said that there are plans to construct two new ports on the island.

Mr. McIntyre made this remark during an interview last week.

Mr. McIntyre says the vision is to build two new ports, one for cargo containers and the other for cruise tourism.

“We have to build in terms of resilience,” said McIntyre, “in the event we are impacted by systems [we’ll] have resilient modern ports.”

Mr. McIntyre said the Citizenship By Investment Program (CBI) has assisted in implementing a number of projects in Dominica.

“The CBI has been working well for us and we are using it wisely,” McIntyre noted while noting the pointing out the benefits of the CBI Program and how we should all defend it and cherish it.
