Eight young ladies were officially launched to compete in 2019 Carnival Princess Show.
The young ladies were officially launched on Wednesday 5th December, 2018 at the Prevo Cinemall.
The 2019 Carnival Princess Show is organized by the Rotaract Club of Roseau, and will be held on Sunday 17th February, 2019.
President of the Rotaract Club of Roseau, Leona Jeremiah said the pageant gives the young ladies an avenue to express and develop themselves.
“This pageant creates the opportunity for young ladies between the ages of 8 to 12 to display their talents and discover the princess within themselves. The show seeks to not only encourage the contestants to be ambassadors at their schools but also within their respective communities and Dominica by extension as can be seen in the acts of past princesses,” Miss Jeremiah stated.
Miss Jeremiah said in accordance with the aim of this prestigious pageant, the 2019 show will be steered under the theme, ‘Connecting Our Past to Embrace Our Future’.
The eight contestants will appear in four judged segments: Speech, Talent, Costume and Party Dress after a display of comradery in the opening round
The contestants participating in the 2019 Carnival Princess Show are: Rayne Annalizz Augustine from the St. Martin Primary School, Lizanne Cuffy representing the Convent Preparatory School, Sherkhia Andrew from the Wills Strathmoore Stevens Primary, Shervez Seaman representing Paix Bouche Primary School, G’nellie Williams from the St. John’s Primary School, Semia Farrel from the Grand Fond Primary School, Ta’Kiyah Tai Bazil representing the Wesley Primary School and Faydra Nicholas from the Soufriere Primary School.
