Cultural Division to display birthday cake to commemorate 40 years of Independence

A grand birthday cake will be displayed as part of Dominica’s celebration of its fortieth independence celebration.

The birthday cake will be displayed at the Windsor Park Fore Court before the November 3rd Parade of Uniformed Groups.

After the parade persons present will receive a sample of the birthday cake.

This initiative is organized by the Reunion Independence Committee.

In an interview with DA Vibes, Chief Cultural Officer Raymond Lawrence says the display of the huge birthday cake at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium is significant as the Dominica celebrates its birthday.

“The cake will be on display, so that persons attending the parade will be able to view the cake, and following the parade they will be afforded to opportunity to partake of this huge birth cake. It is a to mark and commemorate the 40th birthday of Dominica,” Lawrence stated.
