Dominica was one of three islands where a 5.6 magnitude earthquake was felt on Friday morning.
It was also felt in Martinique and St. Lucia. It occurred at approximately 8:32 a.m. local time, and was located at 15.11 north latitude, and 60. 43 west longitude with a depth of 10 kilometers.
A number of persons have reported feeling the earthquake in Roseau and environs.
A second earthquake was reportedly felt an hour later at approximately 9:27 a.m, which recorded a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale.
It was located 15.08 degrees north, and 60.25 degrees west at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The same three countries are reported to have been affected by the second earthquake.
