A Candle Light Vigil will be held in memory of people who went missing or died during the passage of Hurricane Maria last year.
Tuesday 18th September, 2018 marked one year since the passage of Hurricane Maria; it was reported that 31 people lost their lives and 34 people were missing.
Organizer of the event Artist Kenny G told Vibes News, the vigil is aimed at giving comfort to families of missing person and those who died.
“I thought that the persons who lost their lives or went missing should not go unnoticed and that is the reason for having the Candle Light Vigil in their memory. Families of missing people and those who died are still in pain and still grieving, and hopefully this will give comfort and strength to the families, Kenny G said.
Kenny said there will be songs and prayers and people should turn out with their candles and support the Candle Light Vigil.
The Candle Light Vigil will be held this evening on the Bayfront at 7 p.m.
