Kingshill fire claims life of toddler

A house fire in Kingshill claimed the life of a one year old girl, this morning.

The fire began around 7 o clock in the Lower Morne Bruce area in Kingshill. Vibes News went to the scene of the fire and found a small concrete structure completely burnt.

The occupants of the house were one adult female and two children small children.

The mother of deceased child, who according to eye witnesses was not at the house when the fire began, is currently at the Princess Margaret Hospital.

An eye witness, Christus Tavenier, who was on the seen spoke with Vibes News “After seven I heard everyone shouting and when I looked outside I saw the house in flames, it hurts me every day I am seeing this little girl and is very sad what happen to a beautiful little girl,” Mr. Tavernier said.

Meanwhile, Parliamentary Representative of Roseau South Constituency Joshua Francis who was also at the scene told Vibes News that he is sad for the loss of the toddler.

“This morning I am very sad and I wish the parent of the deceased and the people of KingsHill Community strength in this sad heartbreaking incident,” Mr. Francis said.
