Hurricane Isaac could make landfall in Dominica by late Wednesday into Thursday as a category 1 hurricane.
This is according to Acting Senior Meteorological Officer Marshall Alexander during a press briefing to update the nation on Hurricane Isaac on Monday 10 September 2018.
“We are advising residents to make the necessary preparations for the arrival of that system to protect life and property as we’re expecting that system to approach Dominica as a category 1 hurricane.”
A hurricane watch or warning he said may be issued for the island early Tuesday, he added.
“Some additional strengthening is expected during the next two days however Isaac is expected to lose some strength as it approaches the island.”
