The D-Tread Blazers, All-For-Ricky will carry the third place trophy and cash prize of one thousand dollars after defeating the Paix Bouche Super Eagles in the third place knock outs held on Saturday, in the Kelver Darroux Basketball League.
The Blazers, with only a five man roster, were able to secure an eight point win over the Eagles, after outscoring them in all but one quarter.
Lester Langlais led the scoring for the Blazers with 19 points, while Thomas Felix had 17, Elijah Popo 16 points, and Donny Robinson adding 13.
For the Eagles, it was Hendricks Holsborough and Kaloy Paul, who scored 20 points each, with Dave Alexis adding 14.
Meanwhile, Team Ice Cream has once again taken the advantage over the Dr. Mc Prowlers, in the league’s five match finals series.
The series was previously tied 1 apiece, after Prowlers took the win in the second match up last Thursday.
Team Ice Cream now leads the series 2-1, after clinching an 8 point victory over the Prowlers, 59 to 51, in a physical, hard fought game three on Saturday night.
Top scorers for Team Ice Cream were Kijuan Thomas with 16 points, Ramal Carbon with 13, Garvin Joseph with 11 and Ethan Bolan with 9.
For the Dr. Mac Prowlers, top scorers included Julien Isles Jr, and Joel McIntyre had 13 points apiece, Craig St. Rose had nine, and Matthias Douglas 6.
Game four of the finals will be held on Wednesday at 8 p.m., with team Ice Cream looking to seal the championship 3-1, while the Prowlers will look to force a game 5.
