Prowlers and Ice Cream to face off in basketball league finals

Dr. Mac Prowlers will face the Team Ice Cream in the upcoming finals of the Kelver Darroux Basketball League after both teams beat their respective opponents in the semi-final match ups held on Wednesday 11 July 2018.

In the first match of the evening, Team ice Cream took a twenty point victory over the Paix Bouche Eagles, winning the game 73 to the Eagles 53 points, and clinching the three match semifinal series 2-0.

Kerbin Nanthan was the top scorer for Ice Cream, scoring 23 points. Kijuan Thomas added 21 while Ramal Carbon added 16. Dave Alexis was the top scorer for Eagles with 14 points.

In the night’s second match up, the Trafalgar Prowlers faced off with the D-Tread Blazers-All for Ricky in the second game of their own semi-final series.

Prowlers took a ten point victory in what came down to be a close game in the final quarter. The Prowlers held a sizeable lead in the first three quarters of the game, before Lester Langlais constant 3-pointers brought the Blazers within 2 points of taking the lead in the fourth quarter.

However, it was too little too late, leaving Prowlers to take the game 73 to 63, and clinching their series 2-0.

Craig St. Rose top scored for the prowlers with 20 points, while Bernard Mills bagged 17. For the Blazers, Lester Langlais made 27 points, including seven 3-pointers, while Thomas Felix chimed in with 17 points.

Game one of the five match final series between Team Ice Cream and Prowlers is scheduled for 8 pm on Saturday.
