League Games continue despite rain

Despite having to postpone Friday night’s games due to the bad weather, play continued this past weekend in the Hon Kelver Darroux Basketball League.

On Saturday, in game one, the E.H Charles Crossover dominated against the Elijah Law Chambers Thunderez. The Crossover had the advantage from the start, leading 49-10 at the half. The team continued to a thirty-five point victory, ending the game 71-36. Top scorers for Crossover were McCray Edwards with 24, while Kervin Ferreira added 18. For the Thunderez it was Shaka Dangleben with 19.

Game two on Saturday between the Dr. Mac Prowlers and the Paix Bouche Super Eagles had to be called off in the third quarter due to heavy rainfall. The Prowlers lead by 6 points when officials decided to suspend play. That game will resume on Wednesday at 7pm.

The LA Dark Knights tipped off against Team Ice Cream in game one on Sunday, but only amassed 30 points to Team Ice Cream’s 97. The 67 point victory by Team Ice Cream was led by Kerbin Nanthan with 25 points, with Garvin Joseph chipping in 22, hitting 5 of the team’s 11 three pointers. Kijuan Thomas also bagged 20. For the Dark Knights, Cameron Corbette top scored with 9.

In game two, the Shanks Juggernauts walked away with the points as their opponents, Kairi FM Ole Skool failed to show.

Matches continue on Wednesday with the continuation of the Prowlers versus Super Eagles matchup at 7, followed by the D-Tread Blazers-All for Ricky vs Kairi FM Ole Skool shortly after.
