Convent High School wins Miss Teen Dominica 2018

Jorjanna Albert of the Convent High School is the 2018 Ms. Teen Dominica.

Albert emerged victorious over four other contestants and copped the awards for Best Speech, Best Talent and Best Response to Question.

Daina Graneau of the Castle Bruce Secondary School placed first runner up and took home the Best in Evening Wear and Best in Spectacular Wear prizes.

Elissa James, who represented the Social Center Adolescent Skills Training Programme, won the prizes for Miss Amity and Best Spectacular Wear, which helped her claim the second runner up position.

Other contestants included Nzinga Colaire of the Portsmouth Secondary School, who won the prize for Miss Photogenic and Syan Davis of the Goodwill Secondary School.

Cheyenne Dewhurst, who represented the Convent High School, won the Miss Teen Pageant last year.

She won the awards for Best Speech and Best Spectacular Creation in the judged rounds, and Miss Photogenic which was decided by DEPEX Color Lab in February 2017.

Miss Teen Dominica, which usually forms part of the carnival activities, was held on Saturday evening at the Old Mill Cultural Center. It was the first activity on the DOMFESTA 2018 calendar of activities.
