The Fisheries Division is today treating members of the public with a free fish meal as they continue to promote eating fish.
Riviere Sebastien, Chief Fisheries Officer, in an interview with Dominica Vibes said they are promoting fish as a healthy source of protein.
They wish to also bring back some level of confidence into people’s eating habit of fish and the industry especially after the passage of Hurricane Maria.
“We know that quit a few people enjoyed fish before Maria and they have not had fish a lot of fish or much fish or any fish at all. In some cases as a result of the storm so we are providing them with some fish today, so we have about 500 pounds of fish as first come first serve,” he said.
On the menu is tuna, marlin, dolphin, kawang, and others for anyone who wishes to have a meal served a potato side dish.
