Randolph Gustave and Jeremy Gustave of Yampiece have been charged with the murder of Glen Joseph Alphonse of Giraudel.
The brothers, who appeared before Magistrate Arley Gill in Roseau on Monday 17 July 2017, were not entitled to enter a plea as the charge of murder is indictable.
Alphonse, 29, sustained a fatal gunshot to his chest while a passenger on a public bus on Wednesday 5 July about 1:30PM, Police Public relations officer, Pellam Jno Baptiste reported.
Alphonse was then transported to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Princess Margaret Hospital where he was medically examined and subsequently pronounced dead by a medical doctor.
A bail application was not made for the brothers by their attorney, Kondwani Williams, however he did ask for Jeremy Gustave to be transported to the Princess Margaret Hospital to treat reported injuries.
The brothers, who were allegedly hiding in Eggleston, surrendered to police on Thursday, July 13th, 2017 in the presence of their lawyer.
They will be held on remand at the Dominica State Prison until August 14th, 2017.
