Moisture and instability associated with a westward moving tropical wave will continue to produce cloudiness, shower and thunderstorm activity mainly across the central and southern portions of the island chain during today, Friday 14 July 2017, the Dominica Meteorological Service has indicated.
According to the advisory, thereafter, by Saturday, an improvement in conditions is expected.
Persons in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks are advised to exercise caution during today.
Moderate seas are expected during the next 24 hours with waves peaking near 7.0 feet. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.
Forecast for Today and Tonight: Mostly cloudy, hazy and breezy with scattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms.
Wind: East north easterly to East south easterly @ 15 to 40 km/h
Sea Conditions: Moderate in open water
Waves: 1.5 to 2.0 meters or 5.0 to 7.0 feet.
