Desmond Rocque, male adult of Montin in Grand Bay, has been charged with the murder of McGarvin Peters of Kings Lane, Roseau.
This was reported to the media on Friday 19 May 2017 by Police Public Relations Officer, Pellam Jno Baptiste.
According to the report, Rocque was brought before a Magistrate’s Court in Roseau on Friday where the charge was read to him.
He was not entitled to plea as this is an indictable offense to be tried at the High Court of Justice.
Peters, male adult of Kings Lane, was shot by an unknown assailant while at Bubbles Disco in Grand Bay in the early hours of Tuesday 17 May 2016.
He sustained a gunshot wound to his lower abdomen and succumbed to his injuries at the Princess Margaret Hospital about 8:15AM that same day.
“Investigations have since been completed and on Friday the 19th of May 2017, Rocque was charged with murder for the unlawful death of McGarvin Peters,” Jno Baptiste reported.
