One hospitalized after vehicular collision at Picard

One male adult of Roseau is nursing serious injuries at the Princess Margaret Hospital following a vehicular collision at Picard, Portsmouth on Sunday 8 January 2017.

A report from Police Public Relations Officer, Pellam Jno Baptiste, indicates that about 11:20 pm, motorcycle registration number PP747 which was being ridden by Anthony Ricketts collided with motor vehicle registration number SA 040 which was driven by Shermon Harve of Fortune.

According to Jno. Baptiste, Ricketts was transported to the Accident and Emergency Department of the PMH, where he received medical attention and consequently admitted.

Both motor vehicles ignited into flames on the scene of the collision.

Video footage taken at the scene of the collision indicates that Ricketts may have lost his legs as a result.

Police investigations into the cause of the accident are under way.
