Dian Samuel Laronde, a former employee of Lindo Park Services, Goodwill, was on June 11, 2013 arrested and charged with the theft of over EC$52,000.00 according to a report from police public relations officer inspector John Carbon.
She was employed as an administrative assistant between 2011 and 2013 at Lindo Mart Services when it is alleged that the offence occurred.
Mrs Laronde was granted $75, 000.00 bail at the magistrate’s court with Bevan Paris of Trafalgar as her surety.
As part of her bail conditions, she is to report to the Roseau Police Station every Monday and is to surrender her travel documents to the court. She was not entitled to plead as it is an indictable offence to be heard before a jury.
According to a concerned villager who preferred to remain anonymous, Mrs Laronde is from Bath Estate but resided in Trafalgar with her husband.
The police report however indicates that she is from Trafalgar and this information could not be verified with the police.
