The Dominica China Friendship Hospital will host its first-ever Year in Review and Long-Service Award.
The Award Ceremony is set for 5:00 pm today at the Conference Room of the Dominica China Friendship Hospital.
The Chief Executive Officer of the DCFH, Dr. Dexter James, stated that the first segment of the event will feature highlights of their work and achievements during the year, their commitments, plans, and programs for 2022.
Presenters will include Executive Management, who will focus on the quality of patients’ care and safety issues, the hospital’s re-developments and improvements, patients’ complaints and concerns, and improvements in their support services.
For the second segment, they will celebrate the contributions of the 21 members of staff who have retired or are retired during the year that has made the development of the Princess Margaret Hospital, now renamed the Dominica China Friendship Hospital.
Dr. James stated that ‘the object is simply to present the results of our stewardship as a new hospital board, and our commitment to good governance and openness in accountability to the public.’
He stated that it is recognized that whatever the hospital becomes, it must involve the commitment of the staff and involve an enlightened public, working with the board and management.
