The newly built Newtown Health Center

The government is aiming to have the Newtown Health Center commissioned by 2022.

That’s according to Parliamentary Representative for the Roseau South Constituency Hon. Chekira Lockhart-Hypolite.

Speaking this week on Dominica’s Broadcasting Station, the Roseau South MP said that construction on the Health Center is complete and that the facility will be available early next year.

She thanked the contractors on the project and stated that what they completed late last week was the beautification exercise.

Hon. Lockhart-Hypolite stated that the community of Newtown is eagerly awaiting the opening of the health center, noting that the event will mark a proud moment for members of the Roseau South Constituency.

She pointed out that every day people go up to the health center just to view the building. She ended by stating that they have been waiting for a very long time for this, as they have been subjected to using the Roseau Health Center.
