The Commonwealth of Dominica will receive over 32,000 doses of the Moderna Vaccine this month. Prime Minister, Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit announced while addressing parliament on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister stated that the island is set to receive 32,500 doses of the Moderna Vaccine as well a second donation of the Pfizer Vaccine from the United States. He thanked the Director of the Pan American Health Organization, the Covax Facility, and the United States for their facilitation of the Pfizer Vaccines.
The Prime Minister stated that there are not enough COVID-19 vaccines for the entire population and encouraged citizens to get vaccinated.
He ended by saying, ‘We hope that the 32,500 doses that we are receiving, and we’ll receive another 11,000 or so doses from US government of Pfizer, that we can take the vaccine.’
