The Guides Association asks the general public to be advocates for 16 days to be against gender-based violence.

Public Relations Officer of the Dominica Girl Guides Association Abigail Christmas states that change can be achieved if we all stand against it.

Christmas stated that the Girl Guides Association of Dominica encourages everyone to use the next 16 days to raise awareness of this issue in support of this campaign against gender-based violence. She further added that if we all stand against this, then there will be change.

Christmas wants the public to join in on their activity by watching a virtual panel discussion on the topic: Gender-Based Violence Who is the victim. It will be streamed live on their Facebook page from 6:30 pm on December 8th.

Christmas encourages all members of the Girl Guides Association of Dominica to advocate by posting on social media and tagging the association with the #herstoryourstory.
