On Tuesday, the GUYDOM Project provided equipment to boost resilience to farmers in the South East. United Nations Development Program Dominica Project Coordinator Sawana Fabien handed over personal protective equipment to some farmers in Grand Fond.

Fabien stated that 79 women and 43 men are receiving tools and equipment to help farmers prepare for, mitigate against, and adapt to disasters on their farms.

She also admitted that they faced a few challenges with their procurement but ensured that the other farmers get their equipment as promised.

Fabien said that the project’s mission is really to support the farmers by helping them to prepare for, mitigate against and adapt to the climate disasters that they often face on their farms.
