The top students of the Dominica State College 2021 graduating class have been motivated by the Head of the English Department within the Dominica State College, Ms. Gayle Sharplis, to prepare themselves to make sacrifices.
“The first thing I want to tell you is, be prepared to make sacrifices.”
Sharplis was the motivational speaker at the DSC Honors Ceremony where sixty-three top students received their honors certificates.
The ceremony was held this week at the Truth and Grace Fellowship Global.
“Life is not easy, things do not come easily, you have to work hard for everything and of course being there I am sure that you all can attest to the fact that you had to make sacrifices,” she told the top graduating students.
She further indicated that “the sacrifices will continue.”
“You are going to have to continue making these sacrifices because life is not easy. It’s not going to be a walk in the park you are going to have to put in the work and make the necessary sacrifices to get to where you want to be.”
The Head of the English Department urged the students to always keep focus on their goals even if their plan has changed.
