There are no active Covid-19 cases on island. That’s according to a recent Covid-19 statistic provided by the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

The Ministry of Health is reporting that there are 31 people in quarantine, with zero (0) contacts under investigation.

Speaking Sunday on his weekly talk show, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit believes that Dominica’s success with battling Covid-19 is due to a structured approach by his administration.

“This week we achieved a most significant breakthrough in our fight against Covid-19,” said Mr Skerrit. “We can now proudly say that we have no active cases of Covid-19,” while thanking God for such an achievement. “This is no small feat,” he said, adding that “it is a resounding indication of the hard work of Dominica’s health care workers and the structured management approach we have taken to this crisis since we recorded our first case back in March of 2020.”

The Prime Minister praised the efforts of the frontline workers, who are at the heart of the Covid-19 response.

He also noted that this feat would not be possible without the collective efforts of the general public.

“We have all played our part to keep our numbers low and the results of this commitment are clear,” stated Mr. Skerrit.
